Shiv Sena Spokesperson Krishna Hegde Comments on Key Issues

Mumbai, June 7: Shiv Sena spokesperson Krishna Hegde addressed several pressing issues on Sunday, including the survey of madrasas in West Bengal, the investigation of Khan Global Coaching in Patna, demands for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and ongoing tensions within the India alliance.

Regarding the madrasa survey in West Bengal, Hegde stated that the state government has the right to know about the activities conducted in recognized institutions. He noted that a significant number of madrasas were established during Mamata Banerjee’s tenure, emphasizing the need to ensure that education is the sole focus within these institutions. The district administration has been instructed to investigate and verify what is being taught and what activities are taking place. The West Bengal government will make further decisions based on the district administration’s report.

On the investigation of Khan Global Coaching in Patna, Hegde raised concerns about the safety measures and fire compliance standards of the building. He mentioned that there are allegations that a safety audit of the coaching institute has not been conducted and irregularities have been found. The municipal corporation has issued a notice to Khan Sir, seeking a response regarding fire compliance issues. Further action will be taken after receiving the response. He also referred to a recent incident involving alleged gunfire between acquaintances and opponents of Khan Sir, which is currently under police investigation.

In response to calls for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Hegde defended him, stating that continuous efforts are being made to improve the education system. He highlighted Pradhan’s commitment to addressing deficiencies in the education system, including ongoing investigations into exam paper leaks, with arrests made in connection to these cases. Hegde assured that necessary reforms in the Ministry of Education are being pursued with full dedication.

Additionally, he criticized the Congress party regarding alleged differences within the India alliance. Hegde remarked that the DMK, which has been a long-time ally of Congress, is now frustrated with Congress’s opportunistic behavior. He claimed that dissatisfaction among allied parties has increased due to Congress’s decisions in Tamil Nadu and other states.

Hegde asserted that the DMK is unlikely to participate in the India alliance meeting, and there is also discontent among allies regarding Rajya Sabha candidates in Jharkhand. He indicated that signs of a growing rift within the India alliance are becoming apparent, as Congress appears to prioritize its political interests in states while forming alliances with other parties. Other alliance members are beginning to recognize this situation.
