Saharanpur, September 7 (Udaipur Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Minister Narendra Kashyap has responded to questions raised by Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav regarding the recent action taken against a mosque in Saharanpur. Kashyap emphasized that the measures were carried out following legal procedures and court orders.
He criticized Yadav for his comments on the situation, suggesting that the former Chief Minister should consider the circumstances surrounding the mosque’s construction. Kashyap pointed out that a well was discovered at the site where the mosque was built, and that the construction occurred after the well was filled. He argued that if the construction was indeed illegal and followed a court ruling, then Yadav’s objections were unwarranted. Kashyap accused Yadav of engaging in “politics of appeasement,” asserting that such tactics are detrimental to democracy in both Uttar Pradesh and the country.
Referring to a poster featuring Yadav and mentioning the Muzaffarnagar riots, Kashyap recalled the violence of 2013, alleging that Yadav’s tenure saw a significant rise in communal riots. He claimed that the people of Uttar Pradesh still remember that period and will respond accordingly in the 2027 assembly elections, bringing the BJP-NDA back to power.
On Yadav’s claims regarding the “PDA Raj” and social justice, Kashyap stated that the Samajwadi Party’s approach to social justice has primarily benefited the Yadav and Muslim communities. He noted that during the SP’s governance, no substantial decisions were made regarding caste-based census or reservations for backward classes, which he believes limited the benefits to a narrow social group.
In response to Yadav’s comments about BJP’s Uttar Pradesh in-charge Vinod Tawde, Kashyap criticized the previous SP governments for corruption and illegal occupation of government land. He suggested that Tawde’s remarks about the Samajwadi Party were justified given the alleged misdeeds of its past administrations.
Kashyap also supported RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat‘s recent statement advocating for “pure, virtuous love” instead of hatred, asserting that the RSS works for the honor and pride of the nation. He commended Bhagwat for promoting these values globally.
Addressing the issue of alleged illegal madrasas in Uttarakhand, which are currently under scrutiny, Kashyap backed the state government’s actions. He stressed the need to intervene in institutions where children’s education and future are compromised, while also alleging that some madrasas attempt to indoctrinate children with extremist ideologies.
He concluded by stating that educational institutions should focus on providing a better future for children and that any violations of regulations must be addressed by the government.
