Jaipur, September 3: Rajasthan BJP President Madan Rathore has launched a sharp attack on the Congress party regarding the alleged turmoil following ticket distributions for the upcoming local body elections. He stated that Congress should focus on resolving its internal conflicts rather than worrying about the BJP.
Dismissing reports of dissatisfaction or any form of “damage” within the BJP, Rathore asserted that there is no discontent in the party. “If there is no damage, then what is the need for damage control? We have no shortage of capable workers. Those who did not receive tickets understand the principle of ‘Nation First’ and will continue to work diligently for the party,” he remarked.
Rathore emphasized that the BJP is not centered around individuals but is based on ideology and organization. “The BJP is an organization-based party. Here, the organization is greater than the position, and the nation is greater than the organization. Even those who hoped to contest elections on party tickets are disciplined workers and will continue to work with full commitment to strengthen the organization,” he added.
He criticized Congress for the allegations that arose after a state vice-president of the Youth Congress did not receive a councillor ticket. Rathore pointed out that this incident raises questions about Congress’s claims of women’s empowerment. “What could be more embarrassing than a female worker, associated with the same Congress party that coined the slogan ‘I am a girl, I can fight,’ having to justify her political rights by stating what she has personally done for a legislator?” he questioned.
Rathore raised concerns about whether ticket distribution in Congress is based on a worker’s capability, public service, and commitment to the organization, or if it is influenced by personal relationships and alleged favoritism. He urged Congress to clarify the discrepancy between its political message on women’s empowerment and the allegations emerging from within its own ranks.
He stated that the upcoming local body elections will provide voters with an opportunity to assess the organizational strength of the BJP and the public’s trust in the party. While BJP workers are actively reaching out to voters, Congress is mired in controversies over ticket distributions and internal disputes.
Rathore concluded, “The internal conflicts, disputes over tickets, and dissatisfaction among workers in Congress indicate a disconnect from the grassroots level.” Referring to a recent scuffle involving the district president of Congress during ticket distribution disputes in Bikaner, he noted that it reflects discontent and factionalism within the party.
He asserted that the election results will send a clear message to Congress, stating, “The people of Rajasthan want development, good governance, and strong leadership, not accusations and internal strife. The BJP is moving forward with this mindset.”
