Low BP Can Trigger Multiple Health Issues; Home Remedies May Help

New Delhi, 24 November (Udaipur Kiran)। While high blood pressure is widely seen as a major health threat, low blood pressure (low BP) can be equally dangerous. A sudden drop in blood pressure can disrupt the flow of blood to the brain and heart, increasing the risk of several complications.

Low BP

Doctors say the problem of low BP is now being observed even among young people, largely due to poor lifestyle habits. It can also occur because of prolonged fasting, side effects of medicines, dehydration, fatigue, stress, excessive heat, or conditions related to the thyroid, heart or hormonal imbalance.

Low BP can often be managed through a healthy lifestyle and simple home-based remedies. Symptoms like dizziness and excessive fatigue may indicate low blood pressure. In such cases, many people consume a glass of water mixed with a pinch of rock salt. The sodium helps improve blood flow to the brain.

Fennel seeds and mishri are also considered helpful. Their daily consumption may boost energy, support digestion and help regulate stomach acid levels.

Consuming 10–12 raisins soaked overnight in water on an empty stomach is another commonly used remedy. Soaked munakka and almonds are also believed to provide relief and can be consumed in the morning after soaking overnight.

Cinnamon, ginger, basil leaves and honey are traditionally used to support blood pressure balance as well. Health experts point out that during winter, the blood tends to thicken more compared to summer months, which may also affect circulation.

Low blood pressure should not be ignored, and timely care can help prevent further complications.
