Raipur, February 28 : The installation of solar panels under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is gaining momentum in Chhattisgarh, as households witness significant savings on electricity bills.

Of these, nearly 40,000 have applied for solar panel installation, and over 1,000 households have successfully set up solar power systems in their homes. This transition has not only reduced their electricity expenses but also encouraged more people to opt for solar energy.

- An additional government subsidy of ₹1,000 is provided.
- With a lifespan of 25 years, solar panels help consumers save approximately ₹4.21 lakh in total.
