Kolkata, 13 November (Udaipur Kiran). India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who had been out of international cricket for nearly four months after getting injured during the fourth Test of the Manchester series against England, is set to return for the two-Test series against South Africa. The young cricketer expressed happiness over his comeback and thanked God for his blessings.

In a video shared by the BCCI, Pant said, “It’s never easy to return after an injury. But God has always been kind to me and has blessed me throughout. I always try to remain grateful. Whenever I step onto the field, I look up and thank God, my parents and my family.”
Pant added, “I focus on what is in my control. You cannot control luck, so I avoid worrying about it. There are many factors we don’t pay attention to, but if you keep your focus in the right place and concentrate on what truly matters, you stay unaffected. If you keep doing things that make you feel good, especially when you’re recovering from an injury, it brings happiness.”
The wicketkeeper-batter further said, “We must work hard with discipline even in tough situations, stay calm, keep learning and enjoy every moment while doing our job.”
Pant made his cricketing comeback through the four-day series against South Africa A. His form and fitness looked impressive in the matches played in Bengaluru.
