Udaipur, February 16, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – The results of JEE Main 2026 Session-1 (January session) have been declared, sparking discussions among students, parents and coaching institutes across the country. This year, Rajasthan emerged as the leading state with the highest number of top scorers securing 100 percentile.

A total of 12 students achieved the perfect NTA score of 100 percentile in Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.). Among them, three candidates are from Rajasthan, giving the state a clear edge in this year’s results. Andhra Pradesh followed with two students securing perfect scores. The remaining toppers came from different parts of the country, reflecting nationwide representation.

The three toppers from Rajasthan are Kabir Chhillar, Chiranjib Kar and Arnav Gautam. Their performance has once again highlighted the state’s strong presence in national-level engineering entrance examinations.
Toppers from Other States
Apart from Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, one student each from Delhi (NCT), Bihar, Odisha, Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Telangana secured 100 percentile.

What 100 Percentile Means
A 100 percentile score does not mean 100 percent marks. Percentile indicates that the candidate has performed better than all other candidates who appeared for the examination. The score is calculated through a normalisation process to ensure fairness across different shifts.
Why This Year’s Result Stands Out
The 2026 result is being seen as significant due to intense competition. Lakhs of students appeared for the examination, competing for limited seats. Securing 100 percentile reflects consistent performance, time management and sustained preparation.
Next Steps for Candidates
With the results now declared, candidates will move towards the next stage, which includes rank-based college selection, counselling and seat allotment. This phase will determine admissions into engineering institutions based on their performance.
