New Delhi, September 8 (Udaipur Kiran) : The UGC-NET re-examination is scheduled for September 9 and 10 in New Delhi, and candidates are urged to take note of important travel advisories ahead of the exam. With significant international events taking place in the capital, there may be disruptions in travel and traffic on these dates.
Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the routes to their examination centers and to allocate extra time for their journeys. Authorities have indicated that traffic control measures may be enacted on key roads, potentially leading to longer travel times than usual.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already issued admit cards for the re-examination, which will cover three subjects: English, Commerce, and Sociology. The English and Commerce exams will take place on September 9, with the English paper scheduled from 9 AM to 12 PM and the Commerce paper from 3 PM to 6 PM. The Sociology exam will follow on September 10, from 9 AM to 12 PM.
This re-examination comes after numerous errors were reported in the original UGC-NET exam held from June 22 to 30, 2026, which included 87 subjects. Complaints regarding language mistakes, spelling errors, and repetition of previously asked questions prompted the decision for a re-test. Candidates taking the re-examination will not be required to pay any additional fees. Following an internal review, the NTA formed a committee that confirmed the presence of multiple errors in the question papers for these three subjects, leading to the decision to conduct the re-examination.
