PM Modis Visit to SRCC Marks a Historic Teachers Day Celebration

New Delhi, September 6 (Udaipur Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in the centenary celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has been described as a historic and proud moment by the college administration. Marking Teacher’s Day, Principal Simrit Kaur and Vice Principal Professor Aruna expressed that the Prime Minister’s visit is a special honor for both the institution and its educators.

Principal Kaur praised Modi’s personality and leadership, highlighting his broad vision and impactful presence. His acceptance of the invitation to the college’s 100th-anniversary celebrations has fostered a sense of joy and pride among the SRCC community and the wider Delhi University. During the invitation extended on April 25, a special stamp was issued, and now, a commemorative coin will also be released to mark the centenary.

Kaur emphasized the significance of the Prime Minister’s visit on Teacher’s Day, noting the crucial role teachers play in guiding students. She credited the college’s achievements to its educators and alumni, many of whom have found success across the globe, earning the institution a distinguished reputation. She referred to these former students as “global citizens.”

Additionally, Kaur acknowledged Modi’s role as a proactive leader who inspires youth to contribute to the development of a progressive India, underlining the importance of their involvement in inclusive and sustainable growth.

Vice Principal Professor Aruna, who has been teaching at the college for nearly 30 years, reflected on the pride she felt witnessing the Prime Minister honor educators on this special day. She noted that such recognition is a rare honor in a teacher’s career. Aruna also remarked on Modi’s impressive political journey, recalling his impactful tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat and his growing influence at the national level.

She mentioned that discussions surrounding the “Gujarat model” have now evolved to consider the “Indian model,” which is gaining traction in various regions. Aruna highlighted India’s progress across multiple sectors, showcasing the nation’s advancement.
