Narayan Seva Sansthan Spreads Compassion on Mauni Amavasya with Food, Blanket, and Limb Distribution

Udaipur, January 29: In the sacred gathering of Mahakumbh, Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur, marked Mauni Amavasya with a grand humanitarian initiative, distributing food, blankets, and prosthetic limbs to thousands in need.

From the early hours of dawn, the organization began its seva (service) offerings, serving milk, fritters, and khichdi to the devout, saints, underprivileged, and travelers braving the cold. By midday, a massive community feast (bhandara) commenced, which continued through the night, benefiting over 10,000-15,000 people. Additionally, 20,000 blankets were distributed to provide relief from the chilling winter.

A Mission of Service at Mahakumbh

According to Narayan Seva Sansthan’s International President, Prashant Agarwal, the organization has been actively engaged in selfless service since Makar Sankranti (January 14). The ongoing initiative includes daily langar (community kitchen), bhandara (free meals), and large-scale distribution of clothes and blankets.

  • A dedicated 70-member team is working round the clock to serve pilgrims and the needy.
  • Free accommodation has been provided to 400 individuals, ensuring a comfortable stay for devotees.
  • Thousands have been given the opportunity to take a holy dip in the sacred Sangam (confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers) through the Sansthan’s assistance.

Empowering the Specially-Abled

Under the leadership of Sansthan Directors Vandana Agarwal and Palak Agarwal, Narayan Seva Sansthan has intensified efforts to support differently-abled individuals attending the Mahakumbh.

  • Wheelchairs, tricycles, crutches, and prosthetic limbs are being provided to those in need.
  • Special camps are being held at Kumbh Nagar to measure and fit modular artificial limbs, ensuring free prosthetics for individuals affected by accidents or disabilities.
  • On-site training programs are also being conducted to help recipients adapt to their new prosthetic limbs.

This 45-day-long service initiative will benefit thousands, reinforcing Narayan Seva Sansthan’s mission of humanitarian excellence. Through these efforts, the organization continues to uplift and transform lives, making Mahakumbh an inclusive and spiritually enriching experience for all.
