Uttarakhands Education Reforms Set National Model, Says Manu Gaur

Dehradun, September 8 (Udaipur Kiran) : Manu Gaur, a member of the drafting committee for Uttarakhand’s Uniform Civil Code (UCC), recently made significant remarks regarding the state’s educational reforms aimed at minority communities. Speaking in Dehradun, he expressed satisfaction that these changes are now serving as a model for other states across the country.

Gaur noted that Uttarakhand has become the first state in India to implement the UCC, and he has been an integral part of its drafting committee. At that time, he envisioned that this initiative, which began in the sacred land of Uttarakhand, would eventually influence other regions in the country.

He highlighted that substantial changes have been made to the madrasa education system, with efforts to integrate minority educational institutions into the mainstream education framework. According to Gaur, the goal of these reforms is to ensure that children from minority communities have access to modern education, thereby enhancing their prospects in administrative services, business, and other professional fields.

Gaur expressed his belief that connecting minority students with contemporary education would serve as a foundation for significant changes. He claimed that the process initiated in Uttarakhand is now reaching other parts of the country, providing more students with equal opportunities.

Regarding the UCC, Gaur stated that Uttarakhand’s model has emerged as a template for other states. He mentioned ongoing discussions and initiatives in states such as Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Assam, indicating that the system implemented in Uttarakhand is being viewed as an example to follow.

He emphasized that the aim of these reforms in education and legal systems is to provide equal opportunities for all sections of society. Gaur expressed hope that more states will take steps in this direction, making the education system more inclusive and modern in the future.
