Thiruvananthapuram, September 8 (Udaipur Kiran) : Kerala Chief Minister VD Satheesan has expressed his admiration for the heartfelt invitation extended by fourth-grade student Priscilla Praveen from Kanchiyar Government Tribal LP School. Priscilla invited him to join a traditional Onam feast, known as ‘Onasadya,’ featuring an impressive 101 dishes. The CM shared his thoughts on this touching invitation through a post on the social media platform X.
In his message, Satheesan conveyed that he was deeply moved by young Priscilla’s gesture. Although he was unable to attend the feast due to his official commitments, he was touched by her warm invitation and kind words. He noted that Priscilla’s infectious joy and charming smile brightened his day, and he looks forward to meeting her soon.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Onam is not just a festival but a celebration of togetherness, selflessness, and equality. He expressed pride in seeing children embrace these values, which he believes reflects the importance of human values alongside academic knowledge in Kerala’s education system.
Satheesan also congratulated the school’s headmistress, Lincy George, along with teachers and parents, for preparing the grand feast. He highlighted the significance of imparting lessons of kindness, community spirit, and cultural harmony to children as a crucial step towards nurturing a sensitive and responsible generation.
