New Delhi, February 16, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to declare the JEE Main 2026 Session-1 result today, February 16, 2026. Candidates who appeared for B.E. and B.Tech (Paper-1) will be able to download their scorecards from the official website — National Testing Agency portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
As per the official notice, the result may be announced after the release of the final answer key. Earlier, the information bulletin had mentioned February 12 as the tentative date, but the updated schedule indicates that the final answer key will be uploaded first, followed by activation of the result link later in the day.
Record Participation This Year
This year witnessed record participation in the examination. Out of 13,50,969 registered candidates, 96.26 percent — around 13,00,368 students — appeared for the exam. The Session-1 examination was conducted in multiple shifts between January 21 and January 29, 2026.
Students have been eagerly waiting for their percentile scores since the conclusion of the exam. Based on previous trends, the result link may go live at any time. Candidates are advised to keep their application number and date of birth ready to avoid last-minute delays.
Final Answer Key Update
The NTA is expected to release the final answer key either along with the result or shortly before it. The answer key will clarify whether objections raised by candidates were accepted and how many questions, if any, were dropped. This will help students better understand their final score and percentile.
Session-2 Registration Underway
Meanwhile, the registration process for JEE Main 2026 Session-2 (April session) has begun. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website until February 25, 2026. Applicants are advised to complete the form submission and fee payment before the deadline.
