Ujjain, September 20 (Udaipur Kiran) : In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, the recently held Youth Dharma Parliament drew attention to pressing issues surrounding rural migration and the need for a return to village life. Renowned scientist and author Anand Ranganathan praised the event, crediting Swami Mithilesh for providing profound insights that he believes make this gathering one of the most meaningful to date.
Ranganathan expressed his admiration for Swami Mithilesh’s teachings, stating, “I came here thinking I had about 30 percent knowledge, but I now realize that the remaining 70 percent has been imparted by Swami Mithilesh. His depth of understanding of various topics has left me in awe. The way he explained the meanings behind terms and concepts was enlightening.”
He noted that while many events feature speeches and discussions, this particular parliament offered a unique experience. “For the first time, I feel like I participated in a program rather than just speaking as a presenter. Awareness among youth is crucial, but real action must come from those in leadership positions,” he added, emphasizing the importance of empowering farmers and addressing their needs.
Vice Chancellor of MCU, Vijay Manohar Tiwari, also spoke at the event, reflecting on the alarming trend of migration from rural to urban areas over the past 80 years. He remarked, “The one-sided migration has left our villages desolate, and the influx into cities has made urban life unbearable. It is critical that we focus on revitalizing our villages.”
Both speakers underscored the urgent need for solutions that go beyond mere awareness, calling for concrete actions to address the challenges facing rural India.
