Thiruvananthapuram, September 19 (Udaipur Kiran) : Kombans FC revealed its official jersey and team for the third season of the Super League Kerala during an event held at the Kanakakunnu Palace in Thiruvananthapuram on September 20. The unveiling was conducted by Kerala’s Transport Minister, C.P. John, in front of an enthusiastic crowd of fans and officials from the Adani-sponsored club.
Minister John praised the rising stature of Kombans FC in Kerala football and expressed confidence that the club’s diverse, multinational squad would enhance the competitive level of the league. The event showcased the 26-member team, which features a truly international lineup for the first time, including six foreign professional players from Brazil, Ghana, Colombia, and Angola.
In addition to the international players, the squad boasts a core group of talented local players, particularly from Thiruvananthapuram, aimed at blending international experience with homegrown talent. The club’s technical team was also formally introduced to fans and media, with Scottish head coach Ian Gillan set to lead the dugout this season. Gillan previously guided Calicut FC to victory in the inaugural season.
Kombans FC will kick off its Season 3 campaign with an away match against Calicut FC on September 26. The team’s first home match is scheduled for October 4, where they will host the reigning champions, Kannur FC, at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
