Ahmedabad, January 4 – In a major relief for devotees and travelers heading to the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, SpiceJet Airlines has announced the launch of daily direct flights between Ahmedabad and Prayagraj starting from January 12, 2025. This special flight service will continue until February 28, 2025, catering to the massive influx of pilgrims and tourists attending the grand religious event.

Flight Schedule and Duration
Starting January 12, the first direct flight from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport will depart at 8:10 AM, arriving in Prayagraj at 9:55 AM after a 1 hour 45 minutes journey. For the return trip, the flight will take off from Prayagraj at 4:30 PM and reach Ahmedabad by 6:45 PM, with a slightly longer travel duration of 2 hours 15 minutes.
To further accommodate the surge in passenger demand during peak Mahakumbh days, an additional round-trip flight service will operate between January 25 and January 29. The morning flight under this schedule will leave Ahmedabad at 5:35 AM and arrive in Prayagraj by 7:20 AM, while the return flight will depart from Prayagraj at 8:00 AM, reaching Ahmedabad by 9:50 AM.
Enhanced Connectivity for Pilgrims
The launch of this daily flight service is expected to significantly ease travel for devotees from Gujarat, ensuring faster and more convenient access to Prayagraj, which hosts one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
