UDAIPUR, July 29: Sai Tirupati University successfully organised an Organ Donation Awareness E-Poster Presentation Competition on the theme “Organ Donation – Jeevan Sanjeevani Abhiyan” at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Udaipur. The event aimed to spread awareness about organ donation among students and the public while encouraging people to pledge this life-saving act.
University Leaders Highlight Importance of Organ Donation
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prashant Nahar attended the programme as the chief guest. Registrar Dr. Devendra Jain and Principal and Controller Dr. Suresh Goyal were present as special guests.
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries described organ donation as the highest form of humanitarian service, saying it offers a new lease of life to patients in need.
Students Showcase Creative Awareness Campaigns
Students from various constituent colleges of the university enthusiastically participated in the competition. Through their creative e-posters, participants highlighted the importance of organ donation, social responsibility, and its vital role in saving lives.
The judging panel, comprising Dr. Sarita Kanth, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Vijay Rawat, Principal of Venkateshwara College of Nursing, and Dr. Anurag Pateria, Neurosurgeon, appreciated the creativity of the students and the effectiveness of their messages.
University Reaffirms Commitment to Public Health
The university acknowledged the contributions of faculty members, the organising committee, volunteers, and the technical team in successfully conducting the event.
At the conclusion of the programme, participants and guests pledged to promote greater public awareness about organ donation, reaffirming the university’s commitment to social responsibility and public health.
Programme Coordinator Dr. Pranav Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, expressed gratitude to all guests and participants and appealed to more people to take the pledge for organ donation.
