Lucknow, August 23: Om Prakash Rajbhar, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government and leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), has made a scathing remark about the Samajwadi Party president, Akhilesh Yadav. Referring to the SP’s ‘PDA’, Rajbhar suggested that Yadav might flee to Pakistan in the coming days.
Speaking to a news agency, Minister Rajbhar stated, “Akhilesh Yadav is neither discussing education, nor the 27% reservation for backward classes, nor health services, or peace and harmony. He constantly uses a language of hatred and keeps talking about hate. You will see in the coming days that Akhilesh Yadav will flee to Pakistan.”
Regarding the protests in Delhi against reservations, Rajbhar emphasized, “We support reservations. The reservation provided by Babasaheb B.R. Ambedkar aimed to bring the most marginalized sections of society into the mainstream of development. Reservations are not being given to just one individual or community.”
He explained that there are four categories in the Constitution, and all four are benefiting from reservations. The general category also receives 10% reservation, while backward classes get 27% and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes receive 22.5%. He noted that while all groups, including backward classes and Dalits, are receiving reservations, the focus often remains on backward and Dalit communities because they constitute a significant portion of the population, nearly 85%, which creates the impression that they are receiving 85% of the benefits.
On the rising prices of sugar, Minister Rajbhar remarked, “It is certain that everyone must operate within the law. If anyone crosses the limits, action against them is natural.”
