Udaipur : Seven of a family and 5 others were injured after they fell down due to the collapse of a canopy on which they were standing. Four people including a girl is said to be seriously injured who were refered to Udaipur later evening.
The incident took place in the evening at Raj Talab area under Kotwali police station limits of Banswara city. A wedding procession was passing through the Kali Kalyan road. Family members of Shabbir Ahmed alias Babban bhai and three of their neighbors went to watch the procession from the canopy of the old building on the first floor which could not take the weight of the people.
Suddenly the canopy cracked and collapsed and all the persons fell down. The incident created a panic in the area ,two from the wedding party too got hurt in the course. The victims were rushed to MG hospital while four who were serious were referred to Udaipur by the time the story going for print.
