Abu Dhabi, March 5: Six individuals, all citizens of Pakistan and Nepal, were injured after debris from a drone, which was shot down, fell in Abu Dhabi. This information was confirmed by the Abu Dhabi Media Office.
In a post on social media platforms, it was stated, “The air defense system intercepted the drone in mid-air, but its debris fell in two locations in the area. Six people were injured due to the debris, all of whom are citizens of Pakistan and Nepal. The injuries sustained are minor.”
Authorities have urged the public not to believe in rumors or hearsay and to rely only on official sources for information.
Meanwhile, according to the Tasnim News Agency, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, they have targeted 20 U.S. military bases located in Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE. Reports suggest that damage was inflicted during these attacks, although the U.S. has not officially confirmed this.
Tensions between the U.S., Israel, and Iran have escalated significantly, marking the sixth day of conflict. Both sides have made various claims regarding the situation. Amidst this turmoil, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has accused Iran of attempting to spread the war to more countries.
Borrell is hosting a virtual meeting with EU foreign ministers and counterparts from Gulf countries to discuss the ongoing unrest in the Middle East. He expressed hope that the discussions would be successful and that all parties would respect international laws.
