New Delhi, August 30: Pradeep Kumar Verma, a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and National Secretary, has expressed support for the statement made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in New York. Verma emphasized that the secular environment in India is primarily due to the Hindu society, which, despite being the majority, respects all religions and communities.
Verma stated, “The secular atmosphere in India is mainly because of the Hindu society. Hindus are the majority, and thus India has always been a society that embraces everyone and respects all religions and sects equally.”
He further noted that Mohan Bhagwat represents this sentiment. The essence that the people of India have proclaimed globally is echoed in Bhagwat’s words. He compared Bhagwat’s statements to those made by Swami Vivekananda in 1893, highlighting India’s culture of inclusivity and acceptance of diverse truths.
On the recent honor bestowed upon Prime Minister Modi by Uzbekistan, Verma remarked, “Prime Minister Modi has emerged as one of the most popular leaders in the world in recent times. Since he became Prime Minister in 2014, there has been a new energy surrounding his leadership globally.”
He added that Modi’s role in addressing various global issues and the trust people have placed in him is unprecedented and has been recognized worldwide. Verma noted that Modi has been honored by various countries, with Uzbekistan also granting him its highest honor. He pointed out that a significant agreement was reached regarding India’s energy needs, which is expected to be beneficial in fulfilling future energy requirements.
