
Udaipur : Udaipur police has raised alerts at all the check posts and bordering areas adjoining Gujarat. Though the authorities termed it as vigilance in order to lay check over inter-state smuggling and criminal activities, however sources claim the security has been beefed up after inputs of terrorist activities in these areas received by the Intelligence Bureau. Gujarat police has sealed the Gujarat -Rajasthan border at Ratanpur on National Highway -8. Additional forces including CRPF has been deployed in the area.
“Though we don’t have a direct information of any terrorist activities, however, we have asked our teams to remain vigilant and alert specially at the interstate border ” Udaipur SP KailashChandra Bishnoi said. Rishabdeo, Kotra and similar villages in proximity to the bordering state have been put on alert.
