Railways to Run Special Trains for NEET Exam in Rajasthan

New Delhi, May 2, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — Ahead of the NEET UG 2026 scheduled on May 3, the railways will operate special trains in Rajasthan to facilitate candidates travelling for the examination.

According to officials of North Western Railway, two unreserved exam special trains will run on Jaipur–Alwar and Churu–Jaipur routes to ease travel for students and their families.

Senior DCM Pooja Mittal of Jaipur Division said that one trip each of these special trains will be operated considering the large number of candidates appearing for the exam.

The Churu–Jaipur unreserved exam special train (No. 09717) will depart from Churu Junction at 6:10 am on May 3 and reach Jaipur at 11:00 am via Sikar. It will halt at stations including Bissau, Ramgarh Shekhawati, Fatehpur Shekhawati, Lakshmangarh, Palsana, Ringas, Govindgarh Malikpur, Chomu Samod and Dhehar Ka Balaji.

The Jaipur–Alwar unreserved exam special train (No. 09719) will depart from Jaipur Junction at 7:10 pm and reach Alwar at 10:55 pm. The train will stop at Gandhinagar Jaipur, Getor Jagatpura, Khatipura, Bassi, Dausa, Bandikui, Baswa, Rajgarh and Malakhera.

Railway officials stated that both trains will have 12 coaches each, including 10 general class coaches and two guard coaches, to accommodate more passengers.

For the NEET exam, a total of 611 centres have been set up across 27 districts in Rajasthan. Around 2.09 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the examination, which will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Jaipur has the highest number of centres at 106, while Sikar and Kota are also major examination hubs this year.

Authorities have put in place strict security arrangements at all centres. Police personnel will be deployed, and candidates will be allowed entry only after proper checking. Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices and other electronic items will be strictly prohibited.

Traffic management plans will also be implemented in major cities to ensure candidates reach their centres on time. Special teams will handle crowd control and parking near exam centres. Candidates have been advised to arrive early to complete entry procedures smoothly.

The National Testing Agency has also issued guidelines regarding dress code and permitted items. Candidates can carry a transparent water bottle and are advised to wear light clothing. Footwear such as slippers or low-heel sandals is recommended. Religious attire will be allowed, and full-sleeve clothing can be worn if required.
