Udaipur, May 1, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): With the launch of the first phase of Census 2027, the district administration in Udaipur has started the self-enumeration process under house listing and housing census. A special workshop and registration camp was organised at the District Council auditorium, where officials and employees completed their self-enumeration through the online portal.

The camp was conducted under the direction of Principal Census Officer and District Collector Gaurav Agrawal, with a focus on practical understanding of the process and immediate registration. District Census Officer and ADM (Administration) Dipendra Singh Rathore led officials and staff from the Collectorate in initiating the process via the portal.
During the session, Deputy Census Officer and Joint Director (Statistics) Puneet Sharma, along with experts, provided detailed guidance on using the portal, required information and necessary precautions.
Portal Open Till May 15
Under the first phase of Census 2027, the self-enumeration portal will remain open for the public from May 1 to May 15, allowing citizens to submit their details from home. The field survey will be conducted from May 16 to June 14, 2026.
The facility is available through a dedicated web portal, which can be accessed in English, Hindi and 14 regional languages. The head of the family can complete the process in about 15–20 minutes and will receive a unique identification number on mobile or email. This ID must be shared with the enumerator during field verification for final submission.
Collector Appeals for Participation
District Collector Gaurav Agrawal urged all government employees and citizens to actively participate in the self-enumeration process. He also advised people to use only the official portal and remain alert against any cyber fraud.
