New Delhi (Udaipur Kiran News): The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to debut a unique Privacy Display feature that restricts screen visibility from side angles — similar to privacy screen protectors but integrated directly into the phone’s display.

🔒 Built-in Privacy Protection
Spotted in One UI 8.5 code, the feature is described as:
“Limits screen visibility from side angles to protect your privacy in public.”
Unlike traditional screen protectors, Samsung’s implementation can be toggled on or off, giving users full control. The Auto Privacy setting can automatically activate the feature in crowded areas such as public transport, elevators, or cafés, while a schedule option allows users to manually set activation times.
⚙️ Customizable Privacy Controls
Users will be able to:
-
Select apps (like Gallery or Messages) where Privacy Display applies
-
Protect sensitive notifications or images tagged as private
-
Hide lock screen inputs such as PINs or passwords
A “Maximum Privacy” mode will also dim screen brightness further to make it harder for bystanders to peek.
📱 Exclusive to Galaxy S26 Ultra
While the feature was found in One UI 8.5, it reportedly requires dedicated hardware support, meaning it will be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Older Galaxy models receiving the software update will not support this functionality.
Samsung is known for reserving premium innovations — such as advanced displays and camera tech — for its Ultra lineup, so other S26 models are unlikely to get the feature.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to launch in early 2026, with more AI-powered and privacy-focused upgrades under One UI 8.5.
