PM Modi Showcases Indias Deep-Tech Innovations at BRICS Summit

New Delhi, September 13 (Udaipur Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi showcased India’s burgeoning deep-tech and innovation ecosystem during the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi. He visited the ‘India Innovates Exposition’ alongside leaders from BRICS nations, expressing pride in the energy and dedication of India’s youth.

Sharing images from the visit on the social media platform X, Modi stated, “Innovation from India, solutions for the world! I toured India Innovates with leaders from BRICS countries.” The exhibition featured advanced technologies from India’s deep-tech sector and was organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs.

The exposition, which kicked off two days prior to the summit, aims to promote innovations emerging from India’s higher education institutions on a global scale. It seeks to connect India’s innovation network with corporates, investors, incubators, universities, research institutions, governments, and Indian alumni abroad.

This year’s BRICS India Innovates (BBI) exposition marks the second significant showcase of India’s deep-tech startups in 2026, following the first exhibition held in Nice, France, earlier in June. A total of 37 Indian deep-tech startups are participating this time, selected from a pool of 120 that took part in the Nice event. The exhibition aligns with India’s BRICS presidency theme of “Building Resilience, Innovation, Collaboration, and Sustainable Development.”

In addition to the exposition, a grand gala dinner hosted by PM Modi for BRICS leaders took place at the India Mandapam. Dignitaries, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and other global leaders, attended the event, which featured a special vegan menu highlighting India’s diverse culinary traditions and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

The evening also included a unique cultural presentation titled “Navarasa – The Universe of Shared Emotions,” along with the BRICS Symphony “One Rhythm, Many Cultures,” showcasing the musical traditions of BRICS and partner nations, reflecting the cultural diversity and unity of the BRICS family.
