New Delhi (Udaipur Kiran News): Tech giant Apple is set to increase production of its upcoming iPhone 17 series, with a particular focus on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models, according to a report from Morgan Stanley analysts.

The company is expected to ramp up production from the previously planned 84–86 million units to the low 90 million range for 2025, reflecting higher-than-anticipated demand for its premium models.
📱 Demand Shifts Toward Pro Models
While Apple’s new iPhone Air has seen weaker-than-expected demand, the Pro and Pro Max variants are outperforming forecasts. The revised production strategy suggests Apple underestimated consumer interest in the higher-end versions.
📈 Growing Demand from Older iPhone Users
Analysts believe a significant share of buyers are upgrading from older iPhones, many of whom have held on to devices for several years. This replacement cycle is expected to continue into 2026, boosting sales for both the iPhone 17 and future models like the iPhone 18 and the foldable iPhone, reportedly planned for a late 2026 launch.
💰 Sales Forecast for 2025
Morgan Stanley estimates Apple will sell around 243 million iPhones in 2025. However, if the iPhone Fold and Apple Intelligence features drive stronger adoption, total sales could reach up to 270 million units.
The revised forecast underlines Apple’s growing reliance on Pro models to drive revenue, as the company continues to position its premium devices as the centerpiece of its smartphone lineup.
