In Hooghly, BJP MLA Dilip Singh emphasized the importance of the summit and Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to India, describing it as a significant moment for both nations. He noted the economic challenges many countries are facing and the ongoing conflicts worldwide, suggesting that Xi’s visit after nearly seven years is a positive signal for India-China relations. Singh expressed hope that this visit would pave the way for future friendship and improved ties between the two countries.
In Delhi, BJP spokesperson Yasir Jilani welcomed leaders from all BRICS nations, marking the 20th anniversary of the organization as a crucial milestone. He stated that this two-decade journey reflects BRICS’s evolution into a more mature and responsible entity, highlighting the importance of dialogue and cooperation among member countries on a global scale.
Former Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid connected the BRICS summit to the changing global power structure, asserting that the world is no longer unipolar. He pointed to the significant presence of Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a crucial image on the world stage. Vaid remarked that current circumstances indicate a shift in the global order, highlighting the emergence of a multipolar world.
In Mumbai, BJP MLA Ram Kadam sharply responded to questions raised by the opposition regarding the summit. Meanwhile, AIMIM national spokesperson Waris Pathan welcomed the condemnation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack during the summit discussions. He described the killing of innocents in Pahalgam as utterly condemnable and reiterated that his party had also denounced the incident. Pathan referenced India’s actions under Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist bases and facilities following tensions with Pakistan.
