The campaign will be flagged off on Friday, January 9, from the Devali Gate side of the historic Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur. Participants will assemble at 7 am, and the rush-hour ride will start at 7.30 am. The cycling rally will cover Fateh Sagar, Rani Road, Mahakal, Ayurveda College, Ambamata Temple, Chandpole Bridge, Jagdish Chowk, Ghantaghar, Hathipole, Loha Market and Swaroop Sagar, before concluding at the Fateh Sagar overflow point at 8.30 am. After the ride, participants will be given goodie bags, useful items and refreshments.

Green People Society President and former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (IFS) Rahul Bhatnagar said the campaign is being organised with the cooperation of the Forest Department and has the support of WWF India. He said the objective is to create public awareness on forest and biodiversity conservation along with the humanitarian cause of organ donation. This is the society’s third cycling campaign dedicated to promoting organ donation, aimed at connecting youth, rural communities and citizens with environmental protection and life-saving values.

On January 9, bicycles will be collected at the Field Club between 3 pm and 4 pm for transport. On January 10, participants will leave the Field Club by AC bus at 6 am for Tejo ka Guda, near Gomti Chauraha. After breakfast, the inaugural cycling ride will begin at 9.30 am from Tejo ka Guda and proceed via Umarwas and Sawantri to Roopnagar, where night stay arrangements, including tents, a campfire, music and a community dinner, have been planned.

On January 11, the final cycling leg will be flagged off from Roopnagar at 8 am. The route will pass through the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary via Sumer, Desuri and Seli Dam, concluding at Muchhala Mahavir. In the afternoon, a closing ceremony will be held, during which participants will be given certificates and mementos. Buses will depart for Udaipur at 4 pm, with arrival expected by 6.30 pm. Bicycles will be transported by loading tempo throughout the campaign.

Bhatnagar appealed to organ donation groups, social organisations and citizens to attend the flag-off and other events to strengthen the message of forest conservation and organ donation. He clarified that cycling is not mandatory to participate, and attending the events itself is a meaningful contribution.
