Over 24 Lakh Chhattisgarh Farmers Join Agristack Portal for Digital Agricultural Services

Raipur, October 7 (Udaipur Kiran): The Chhattisgarh government is taking major strides toward bringing positive technological transformation in the lives of farmers. In this direction, the state has been rapidly implementing the Agristack Portal, a digital platform designed to integrate all major agricultural services. So far, more than 24 lakh farmers across the state have registered on the portal and started availing its benefits.

The government aims to ensure that all eligible farmers are connected to this platform by the upcoming Rabi season, enabling them to benefit from digital agricultural services and schemes.

Officials from the Agriculture Department informed that registration on the Agristack Portal has been made mandatory this year for farmers selling paddy through cooperative societies. The initiative is aimed at ensuring transparency and direct benefit transfer of schemes and subsidies into farmers’ accounts.

The Agristack Portal is envisioned as a backbone for future agricultural planning and schemes. It helps make farming scientific, organized, and data-driven, thereby boosting farmers’ income. It serves as a digital public infrastructure, consolidating essential information such as farmer identity, land records, crop details, and agriculture-related activities on one secure platform.

The data is shared only with the farmer’s consent, ensuring complete privacy and data security. Through this system, farmers receive real-time updates about government schemes, subsidies, and assistance directly — eliminating the role of middlemen and ensuring faster, transparent delivery.

The registration process is simple and free. Farmers can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or cooperative society with their Aadhaar card and loan book for registration. The process takes just a few minutes, after which farmers are provided with a digital identity to access all services seamlessly.
