Jaipur, March 6 : The cold wave continues to grip Rajasthan, with night temperatures plummeting below 10°C in several cities due to chilly northwesterly winds sweeping across North India. While mornings and evenings remain cold, clear skies and bright sunshine during the day have provided some relief to residents.

According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of cold winds will persist today, but a gradual rise in temperature is expected from March 7 as northwesterly winds weaken.

Cold winds caused a significant dip in temperatures across the state, particularly in Sikar, Nagaur, Churu, Bikaner, Pali, Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Mount Abu, Karauli, Hanumangarh, Baran, Chittorgarh, and Bhilwara, where minimum temperatures dropped below 10°C.

📉 Fatehpur (Sikar): 4°C (Coldest in Rajasthan)
📉 Nagaur: 5.6°C
📉 Sikar: 6.5°C
📉 Bhilwara: 7.4°C
📉 Ajmer: 11.9°C

Despite chilly mornings and evenings, daytime temperatures remained moderate, with some cities witnessing temperatures around 30°C.

📅 Temperature Expected to Rise from March 7
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, northwesterly winds will weaken starting March 7, leading to a gradual rise in temperatures. By March 8, daytime temperatures are expected to increase further, reducing night-time chills.
