Washington, August 25: U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that all maritime mines in the international waters of the Strait of Hormuz have been removed or rendered inactive. He warned Iran that any new ship or vessel attempting to lay mines in the area would be destroyed promptly and systematically.
Trump stated on the social media platform Truth Social that he was informed by the U.S. Navy that all mines present in the international waters of the Strait of Hormuz have been either removed or detonated.
He emphasized that the U.S. Space Force is monitoring “every inch” of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump also claimed that the Space Force is keeping an eye on Iran’s Pikaex Mountain and three other previously destroyed nuclear sites.
He reiterated that the U.S. has a “zero tolerance” policy regarding mine laying and that immediate military action would be taken against any new attempts.
In a related development, the Trump administration has warned American schools that if they implement changes related to children’s gender without informing their parents, their federal funding could be cut.
U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon stated during a “Back-to-School” event at the White House that the Education and Justice Departments are working together to ensure that no school district asserts more authority over children than their parents.
McMahon added, “If schools subject children to radical experiments while sidelining parents, they will lose their federal funding.”
