Shimla, October 24 (Udaipur Kiran): Cold conditions have intensified across Himachal Pradesh following recent snowfall, with temperatures dipping below freezing in several high-altitude regions. The Spiti Valley’s Tabo recorded a minimum temperature of minus 2°C, marking the coldest night of the season so far.

Other tribal and high-altitude areas of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu, and Chamba have also experienced a sharp drop in temperature, prompting residents to rely on warm clothing and heaters.
However, weather conditions across the state remained clear and stable on Friday. In Shimla, bright sunshine led to a slight increase in daytime temperatures. According to the Meteorological Centre in Shimla, the weather in Himachal is expected to remain clear till October 30, with no forecast of rain or snowfall during this period.
In Sundernagar and Bilaspur districts, dense morning fog affected visibility, while the plains experienced cool nights and pleasant days. The mountain regions, on the other hand, continue to see an increasing chill as winter sets in.
The state’s average minimum temperature dropped by 2.3°C on Friday.
As per the daily weather report, the minimum temperatures recorded were: Sundernagar (11.1°C), Bhuntar (8.5°C), Kalpa (3.1°C), Dharamshala (12.1°C), Una (11.4°C), Nahan (18°C), Palampur (10.5°C), Solan (10°C), Manali (5.4°C), Kufri (8.1°C), Kukumseri (1°C), Narkanda (4.2°C), Hamirpur (11.7°C), Mandi (12.5°C), and Kangra (13°C).
The weather department added that night temperatures in higher regions may drop further, increasing the morning and evening chill, though daytime temperatures are expected to remain stable.
