Lucknow : Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati on the day of third phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh here on Sunday appealed to the people to cast their votes saying change of power is necessary for the state. In a series of tweets on Sunday morning, Mayawati wrote, “In the third phase of voting in the 59 Vidhan Sabha seats of 16 districts of UP today, everyone must cast their vote as every vote is necessary. Along with this, a change of power in UP is also necessary to get rid of all kinds of false and constant deceit of the ruling party.”
She further said, “Instead of relying more on their wrong policies, especially making the poor of UP poorer, the right option is to have full faith in the promise made by BSP”. The former UP CM said, “The biggest failure of the BJP government is not being able to provide even a modest employment for the poor and marginalised so as to be able to live peacefully with self-respect. Instead most of the jobs that were there have been snatched away. The responsibility of providing livelihood, is the biggest demand of the time.”
