Boiler Explosion in Ghaziabad Textile Factory Kills Three, Injures Six

A massive boiler explosion at a textile factory in Ghaziabad’s Dateri village, under Bhojpur police station limits, has claimed the lives of three workers and left six others severely injured early Friday morning. The tragedy sparked chaos and anger among the locals, with families of the victims protesting outside the factory, demanding justice and accountability.

Victims Identified, Investigation Underway

The deceased have been identified as:

  • Yogendra (42), son of Bijendra, resident of Mukeempur Madheya, Bhojpur

  • Anuj (25), son of Prem Singh, resident of Krishna Nagar, Modinagar

  • Awadhesh, resident of Jahangirpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar

One of the injured has been identified as Lucky, son of Jai Bhagwan, a resident of Suhana village, under Nivadi police station.

According to police, all victims were workers at the factory and were present at the site when the boiler suddenly exploded, causing a loud blast that was heard in nearby villages, drawing crowds to the scene.

Anger and Protest at the Factory

Family members of the victims blocked police from removing the bodies and demanded strict legal action against the factory management. Protesters accused the factory of neglecting basic safety protocols, claiming that workers had no access to safety equipment despite working in hazardous conditions.

ACP Gyan Prakash Rai stated that a detailed investigation is underway and action will be taken based on the findings. “We understand the grief and anger of the families. We are in the process of verifying the cause of the explosion. Police presence has been increased in the area to maintain order,” he said.

Additional police forces from nearby stations have been deployed to prevent any further escalation of the situation.
