New Delhi, May 9 (Udaipur Kiran) — The 8th Pay Commission has accelerated the process of preparing recommendations for central government employees. Meetings are being held in different parts of the country with employee organisations to discuss their demands and concerns.

The commission has also invited central government employees and pensioners to submit their suggestions and demands through its official portal. A list of nine questions has been placed on the website, including one related to allowances.
The second question in the list is related to allowances. The commission has specifically mentioned Dearness Allowance (DA), qualification-related allowance, extra duty allowance and holiday duty allowance.
Employees can also submit their views regarding deputation or posting allowance, housing allowance including HRA, risk allowance, travel allowance, sports allowance, uniform allowance and running staff allowance.
Apart from this, demands or concerns related to skill development, training, knowledge enhancement or any other allowance can also be submitted to the commission. Employees and pensioners can send their suggestions in up to 10,000 characters.
The last date for submitting demands or suggestions to the Pay Commission is May 31.
To submit their views, employees and pensioners have to visit the official portal, where the facility has been provided under the title “8CPC Memorandum Submission”.
The portal allows central government employees, defence personnel, All India Services officers, judicial officers, pensioners and employee unions to submit their views.
Separate options have also been provided for ministries, departments and Union Territory officials. The online portal has been divided into four categories, with the first category meant for central employees and pensioners. Employees under this category can submit their suggestions till May 31.
