New Delhi, July 25: If you are planning to visit a bank today, you may want to check before heading out. Today is the fourth Saturday of July, and according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.

Are Banks Closed Today?
Yes. Since today is the fourth Saturday, bank branches across the country will remain closed in line with RBI guidelines.
Banks remain open on the first, third and fifth Saturdays of the month, while the second and fourth Saturdays are designated holidays.
Digital Banking Services Will Continue
Although bank branches are closed today, customers can continue to use digital banking services, including:
- UPI money transfers
- Mobile banking
- Internet banking
- Balance enquiry
- Bill payments
- Online account-related requests, including KYC updates, loan applications and debit card requests
Bank Holidays in August
After the fourth Saturday and Sunday this weekend, there are no more bank holidays in July. However, several regional and national holidays are scheduled in August.
Some of the major bank holidays include:
- August 4: Banks closed in Agartala for Ker Puja.
- August 8: Banks closed in Gangtok.
- August 13: Banks closed in Imphal.
- August 15: Banks across India will remain closed on the occasion of Independence Day.
- August 19: Banks closed in Agartala.
- August 25: Banks closed in Kochi, Vijayawada and Thiruvananthapuram for Barawafat.
- August 26: Banks will remain closed in some parts of the country where Barawafat is observed.
- August 28: Banks will remain closed in several states on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
Customers are advised to check the RBI holiday calendar or confirm with their local bank branch before planning a visit, as some holidays are state-specific.
