2026 Maruti Brezza Launched at ₹7.40 Lakh with Turbo Engine, 5-Star Safety and New Features

New Delhi, July 25: Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2026 Brezza in India at an introductory starting price of ₹7.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated compact SUV gets a new turbo-petrol engine, refreshed styling, upgraded cabin, larger infotainment system and a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

2026 Maruti Brezza

The new Brezza will continue to compete with the Hyundai Venue, Skoda Kylaq, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet and Kia Syros in the compact SUV segment.

New Turbo-Petrol Engine Added

The biggest update is under the bonnet. The SUV now gets a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine producing 110hp and 170Nm of torque.

The existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 103hp and 139Nm, has been retained and continues to be offered with a CNG option. The CNG variant now features an underbody-mounted tank, freeing up additional boot space.

All engine options are paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.5-litre petrol engine also gets a 6-speed automatic transmission option.

Refreshed Exterior Design

Maruti Suzuki has introduced subtle styling updates, including a redesigned front grille, revised bumper, triangular fog lamp housing and new 16-inch alloy wheels.

The turbo-petrol version gets exclusive cosmetic touches such as a ‘Turbo’ badge, red accents on the grille and wheel arches, and a ‘Turbo Boosterjet’ decal on the rear quarter glass.

The SUV is also available in two new colour options — Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige — with dual-tone black roof options.

Upgraded Cabin and Features

Inside, the Brezza retains its dual-tone black and brown interior while receiving updated trim materials and gloss black inserts.

Key feature additions include:

  • 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system
  • Built-in navigation
  • Alexa integration
  • 64-colour ambient lighting
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Air purifier
  • Wireless phone charger with active cooling

Enhanced Safety Package

The updated Brezza comes with several new safety features, including:

  • 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • Blind Spot Warning
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • Safe Exit Warning
  • Front parking sensors

The SUV also continues to offer six airbags and other standard safety features across the range.
