Jaipur, February 1 : A series of active western disturbances is set to change Rajasthan’s weather, with light rainfall expected in parts of the northeastern region on February 3 and 4. On Saturday morning, dense fog was reported in multiple cities, including Alwar, Karauli, Neemrana (Kotputli-Behror), and Suratgarh (Sri Ganganagar), reducing visibility to below 50 meters.
Night temperatures dropped below 10°C in 18 cities, with Mount Abu recording the coldest night at 6°C.

Temperature Drop and Rain Forecast
According to Radhey Shyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Department, Rajasthan is expected to experience dry weather for the next three days. However, a fresh western disturbance will become active on February 3 and 4, bringing light showers accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas.
While bright sunshine prevailed during the day on Saturday, this winter season (December-January) remained relatively mild. The Meteorological Department predicts above-average temperatures for February, with lower-than-usual rainfall expected across the state.
Due to the impact of the western disturbance, northeastern districts, including Bharatpur, Jaipur, and Bikaner divisions, may experience cloudy skies and light rain. On Saturday, Chittorgarh recorded the highest day temperature at 29.2°C, while Jaipur had the warmest night at 13.8°C.
Wind Impact Brings Down Jaipur’s Day Temperature
Jaipur witnessed clear skies and consistent winds throughout the day on Saturday, leading to a drop in daytime temperatures. However, morning fog was reported in the city’s outskirts and nearby rural areas.
- Day temperature dropped by 1.2°C, while night temperature rose by 1.8°C.
- Jaipur’s maximum temperature was 26°C, while the minimum temperature stood at 13.8°C.
