Udaipur, February 1: MP Mannalal Rawat hailed the Union Budget 2025-26 as a progressive and inclusive roadmap that will accelerate India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Reacting to the budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, MP Rawat emphasized that it prioritizes villages, the poor, youth, women, tribals, Dalits, the middle class, and farmers.

MP Rawat lauded the government’s announcement of zero tax on annual incomes up to ₹12 lakh, calling it a historic relief for crores of middle-class families. “This budget follows the principle of Reform, Perform, and Transform, embodying the vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” he said.

The budget includes major provisions to modernize the education sector:
- Establishment of 50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs in schools to foster innovation and technical skills.
- Broadband connectivity in government schools, ensuring equal access to digital resources for students.
- ₹2 lakh crore allocation for research and innovation, marking a historic first in India’s budget. MP Rawat stated that this move will energize scientific research and help India lead in global science and technology advancements.
- Increased seats in medical and IT institutions, providing expanded higher education opportunities for youth.
Boost for AI, Startups, and Digital Economy
MP Rawat also highlighted the ₹5,000 crore allocation for Artificial Intelligence (AI) development, which will propel India into a new digital era. He emphasized that this investment will create opportunities for startups, industries, and researchers, further strengthening India’s position in the global tech landscape.
He concluded by stating that the Union Budget 2025-26 is a visionary document that will drive economic growth, create jobs, and position India as a global leader in innovation and development.
