Action has followed on all fronts after the tragic flyover collapse in Varanasi. The CM Yogi Adityanath also assured of strict action against the guilty. 4 officials responsible with the construction of the flyover have faced immediate action. Chief project manager HC Tiwari, project manager Rajendra Singh and KR Sudan and another official Lalchand have been suspended. A high level committee has been instituted to probe the incident which will submit its report by Thursday.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the accident site where he first took stock of the situation and then met the injured being treated at the Trauma Centre at Banaras Hindu University.
The CM directed 2 lakh rupees assistance to be given to the family of the injured and 5 lakh rupees to the family of the deceased. He also instructed free treatment be given to those injured.
Injured are being treated at the hospital. The administration officials are monitoring the relief work and have ordered to provide best medical treatment to the injured.
The tragedy took place when a portion of a flyover under construction near the railway station collapsed where at least 15 people died on Tuesday after which rescue teams were rushed to the spot .
