Udaipur, April 26 (Udaipur Kiran): A case has been registered in Hiranmagri area after a car was allegedly lifted from an apartment parking, valuables stolen from inside, and later abandoned in a damaged condition outside the premises.
According to police, complainant Manish Dangi, a resident of Bandoli Daali, lodged a complaint against a crane service operating in Sector-4. He stated that on November 27, after returning from a wedding, he parked his car in the basement parking of Sudarshan Enclave and left on a bike with a friend.
When he returned on December 2 to collect the vehicle, he found it abandoned on the road outside the complex. The car had broken windows, and a gold chain weighing around one tola along with Rs 2,700 in cash was missing.
CCTV footage revealed that on November 30, an unidentified person was seen towing the car using a crane from Sector-4. Further footage from December 1, around 10:30 am, showed the same crane service leaving the damaged car outside the apartment.
The complainant alleged that upon inquiry, the involvement of a person identified as Bharat Patel came to light. He further claimed that when he demanded compensation for the damage and stolen items, he was threatened and turned away.
