Udaipur weather update : Sizzles at 42°C, Clouds Bring Brief Relief

Udaipur, April 26 (Udaipur Kiran): Heat conditions intensified across Rajasthan, with Udaipur recording a sharp rise in temperature as the maximum touched 42.0°C on Saturday.

According to the Meteorological Department, the city’s temperature increased significantly from 39.6°C recorded a day earlier. The minimum temperature also rose from 22.6°C to 24.5°C, indicating a steady warming trend.

UP weather update

Despite the heat, cloud activity was observed in Udaipur during the day, providing some relief from direct sunlight. However, the overall impact of rising temperatures remained strong, making it difficult for residents to step out during the afternoon hours.

The scorching sun and hot winds led to reduced movement on roads, especially between 1 pm and 4 pm, with a noticeable dip in traffic and fewer visitors at tourist spots. People were seen taking precautions such as covering their faces and staying hydrated with cold beverages.

Meanwhile, weather conditions shifted in several parts of the state. Rainfall was reported in districts including Bikaner, Sikar, Sawai Madhopur, and Barmer. In Rajsamand district, rainfall was accompanied by hail in some areas.

Places like Nokha in Bikaner witnessed sudden showers during the afternoon, while Gangapur City in Sawai Madhopur received heavy rainfall for around 30 minutes. Kumbhalgarh in Rajsamand also experienced rainfall for a similar duration, along with hail in certain locations. Brief rainfall was also reported in Sikar, bringing temporary relief from the heat. Jhunjhunu saw rain accompanied by strong winds, while Jaipur experienced gusty winds in the evening.
