Banswara, April 27: In a series of tragic road accidents in Rajasthan, three individuals, including two brothers, lost their lives, while a father and his three-year-old son sustained severe injuries. The first incident occurred on Saturday night in the Sallopat police station area, where two speeding motorcycles collided head-on near Rohanwadi village. The impact was so intense that both bikes were completely wrecked, leaving all five riders injured on the road.
According to police reports, Nanu Garasiya and his brother Lakshman, residents of Bhandara village, were en route to a relative’s wedding when they collided with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. This second motorcycle was carrying Umesh from Kharasana, his three-year-old son Jayesh, and Umesh’s brother-in-law Rangji. Tragically, Nanu and Rangji succumbed to their injuries at the district hospital, while Lakshman passed away en route to Dahod for further treatment. Umesh and his young son Jayesh remain in critical condition and are currently receiving medical care.
The Sallopat police indicated that initial investigations suggest speeding was the primary cause of the accident. Local residents assisted in promptly transporting the injured to the hospital. The families of the deceased are in mourning, and the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
