Muzaffarnagar, September 9 (Udaipur Kiran) : In Muzaffarnagar, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Harendra Malik has countered the statements made by Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, asserting that they serve as auspicious signs for the SP. Malik drew parallels to the 2022 assembly elections, suggesting that Rajbhar’s criticisms of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at that time preceded the party’s subsequent victory, implying that Rajbhar’s current attacks on the SP might similarly benefit his party in the upcoming elections.
Malik remarked that Rajbhar seems to have forgotten the remarks he made during the elections regarding various leaders. He accused Rajbhar of merely echoing the narratives scripted by the BJP, suggesting that leaders of parties allied with the BJP are compelled to align their statements with the party’s agenda.
The SP MP emphasized that the SP does not take Rajbhar’s comments seriously, nor does the public give them significant weight. He advised Rajbhar to focus on his own party instead of concerning himself with the SP, alleging that the BJP and its allies are attempting to create a communal atmosphere in the country.
Malik warned that any rise in communal tensions would be detrimental to everyone, urging political parties to work towards fostering unity and brotherhood within society. He also addressed the issue of posters related to the riots in Muzaffarnagar, calling for an impartial investigation by the police. He suggested that those responsible for putting up the posters should be identified through vehicle numbers and other technical means, with legal action taken against the offenders.
Attacking the BJP government, Malik stated that it has failed on multiple fronts, particularly in providing affordable medicines and improving the education system. He highlighted the unmet demands of farmers and the lack of adequate support for the families of deceased farmers, alleging that communal issues are being raised to distract the public from these pressing concerns.
He appealed to citizens to maintain communal harmony, brotherhood, and social unity, asserting that the safety of the nation and society is intertwined with the security of everyone’s future. Malik also commented on the resurgence of discussions surrounding the 2002 riots, questioning why these issues are being brought up now after so many years and suggesting that the current status of families linked to the riots should also be assessed.
