Udaipur: Around 400 patients benefited from treatment and expert consultation at a special osteopathy medical camp organised by PIMS Multispeciality City Hospital, Meera Nagar, in association with Sawarlal Osteopathy Centre, Jodhpur.
A large number of patients from distant areas also attended the camp with long-standing pain-related problems. Patients suffering from back pain, neck pain, heel pain, elbow pain, chronic migraine and headache, slipped disc and other musculoskeletal conditions were examined and treated. Several patients reported relief from pain after treatment.
PIMS City Hospital Chairman Naman Agrawal said patients suffering from chronic pain were being provided information about various treatment options based on proper examination and expert advice. He said that in several pain-related conditions, non-surgical treatment options may also be considered before surgery, depending on the patient’s condition.
Dr Nand Kishore Parashar and Dr Giriraj Parashar made people aware of osteopathy during the camp. They advised people not to ignore long-standing pain and to seek timely consultation from specialists and follow appropriate treatment and exercises.
The experts said every patient’s condition is different and that, based on proper examination and specialist advice, non-surgical pain management options may be available in many cases. Along with osteopathy, physiotherapy, appropriate exercises and necessary lifestyle improvements can also play an important role in rehabilitation.
Patients were provided information about pain management, osteopathy, physiotherapy and suitable exercises according to their individual conditions. The experts also encouraged people to seek timely treatment and not ignore persistent pain for a long period without specialist advice.
