Udaipur: On the eve of Janmashtami, the Indian Cohesive Cultural Club of Pacific Institute of Business Studies, Pacific University, organised a discussion on the diverse dimensions, life episodes and inspirational teachings of Lord Krishna.
Students of BBA, B.Com and M.Com presented their views on the multifaceted personality of Lord Krishna and the practical and ethical lessons that can be drawn from his life.
The programme was conceptualised by Dr Priyanka Choudhary, who said the discussion aimed to develop ethical values among students and promote life-oriented education in line with the National Education Policy and the Indian knowledge tradition. The programme was designed to help students understand various dimensions of Lord Krishna’s personality in the context of modern life and management.
During the discussion, students presented Lord Krishna as a teacher, ideal ruler, strategist, true friend, philosopher, protector of dharma, compassionate personality, skilled diplomat, service-oriented leader, crisis management expert, visionary leader, Karma Yogi, nature lover and effective communicator.
They also shared their views on values inspired by Krishna’s life, including leadership, friendship, Karma Yoga, cooperation, trusteeship, commitment to justice, equanimity, compassion, philosophy and ethical decision-making.
Addressing the students, institution Principal Dr Anurag Mehta said Lord Krishna’s life is not only a source of spiritual inspiration but also an excellent example of modern management, leadership, decision-making and personality development. He urged students to apply the inspiring lessons from Krishna’s life to their daily lives, education and future professional work and strive to become successful and responsible citizens.
The programme was conducted by BBA students Manthan and Angel Sharma. Students participated enthusiastically and engaged in meaningful discussions on the relevance of Indian culture, spiritual values and life management.
The discussion proved informative and inspirational for the students and was considered highly useful from the perspective of personality development.
