Nothing provides software updates for Nothing OS not only for phone users (2). With Nothing OS 2.5.5, Nothing X apps will be compatible with ChatGPT integration.
The London-based tech startup recently expanded its audio portfolio with the launch of two new products: Nothing Ear and Ear(a). These new TWS headphones are integrated with ChatGPT, which can be accessed via the Nothing X app. This app provides voice access to the OpenAI chatbot when headphones are connected to your phone.
These features will roll out to cheaper CMF products in June. However, it is important to note that Nothing Phone (2) users can access ChatGPT’s audio features when headphones are connected to the smartphone.

This is how ChatGPT works on Nothing devices
The company confirmed in a press release that the updated Nothing X app will integrate some ChatGPT features into its latest headphones. To do this, users must also install the latest version of ChatGPT from the Play Store.
When available, Nothing Phone (2) users will be able to initiate voice conversations with ChatGPT using gestures using the Nothing Ear or Nothing Ear headphones (a) connected to their phone.
Nothing OS 2.5.5 also introduces a new ChatGPT widget that allows you to launch chatbots in different modes from your phone’s home screen for faster access. The latest update adds a button to the screenshot and clipboard pop-ups to paste content directly into a new conversation in ChatGPT.
Other features added to Nothing Phone (2)
The camera app on the Nothing Phone (2) now supports Ultra XDR. To configure this, users should go to Camera Settings > Ultra XDR. In the Camera app, we added an HDR toggle for Photo and Portrait modes. Users can enable or disable it in the above settings.
This update also adds a new RAM booster feature. To configure this feature, you need to go to Settings > System > RAM Booster. With this update, Nothing Phone (2) models feature a new Ringtone Mode option in Quick Settings for easier volume management.
Nothing has also added a new recording widget to the Android skin so users can easily access audio recordings on the go. The operating system also features a new battery widget to monitor power consumption more effectively.
For developers, the company has also added a Glyph UI debugging mode to the developer options.
Additionally, this update also includes several bug fixes and performance improvements related to NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
