Dealing with spam calls and messages can be a huge hassle. You can turn on Do Not Disturb (DND) to block them, but you can also go a step further and report them to your carrier.
Why report spam messages? This is important because it helps network operators combat spammers. Reporting will not stop these messages immediately, but it can help us identify and take action against fraudulent messages and ads.
When it comes to reporting, you have two options: report and complain. According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, complaints filed within three days of receiving the spam are considered legitimate and may lead to further investigation and action against the sender.

So what do you need to report a complaint?
To report a spam message, call or text. If you want to send an SMS, copy the spam message, enter the sender details and send it to 1909. The following format is “SMS content, sender number, dd/mm/yy”.
If you would like to contact us, please have this information ready and enter it when prompted during the 911 call. This proactive approach helps combat spam and ensures a smoother communication experience.
