Honor MagicBook Art 14 With Snapdragon X Elite SoC, On-Device AI Features Unveiled

Honor introduced the MagicBook Art 14 worldwide last week at the International Exhibition 2024 (IFA Berlin). At the same event, the company introduced the Honor MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon. Originally, MagicBook Art 14 laptops were launched in China with Intel Core Ultra 7 processors. The latest version is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chipset, which enables multiple AI features on the device. Most of the specifications of the new MagicBook Art 14 laptop are the same as the existing model.

The company has confirmed that the Snapdragon version of the MagicBook Art 14 will soon be available for purchase in some European countries, including Germany, France and Italy. Pricing and exact availability schedule have not yet been announced. Honor also hasn’t confirmed that the MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon will be available in China or other regions.

Features of the Honor MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon

The Honor MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon Edition, as the name suggests, is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chipset. The laptop supports Honor MagicRing, which allows multiple devices using a single Honor account to connect automatically. For example, the same keyboard and mouse set can be used simultaneously on connected devices. The company claims that this feature allows users to receive calls and notifications on connected devices and use the paired smartphone camera as a PC webcam.

The Honor MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon’s artificial intelligence features include the Honor AI Agent. The company says it is an always-on personal assistant that uses “linguistic analysis and user interface recognition technology” to learn your device’s habits and environment and “make intelligent decisions across a variety of apps and services to meet away”. At the IFA 2024 event where the laptop was unveiled, Honor is said to have demonstrated “how to find and cancel unwanted app subscriptions across multiple apps” using voice commands.

According to the company, another AI feature of the Honor MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon is comprehensive AI counterfeit detection. The technology is said to use a series of sophisticated algorithms to help users “accurately identify manipulated content and distinguish between real media and misleading modifications.” It is noteworthy that this technology was first presented by Honor at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2024 in June.

The Honor MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon is confirmed to feature a 14.6-inch FullView touchscreen display with 3.1K resolution. The thickness of the laptop is 1 cm (10 mm) and its weight is 1 kg. The other features are the same as the Intel version and the price starts at RMB 7,799 (approximately Rs. 89,800) in China.
